Methods to Get Joint Pain Relief

When you first get joint pain, you may just ignore it. It is quite possible that since it appeared suddenly, it may go away just as suddenly. But normally that's not the case and you will need to do something to get joint pain relief faster.

One of the harder things to do is to try to figure out what happened to bring on the pain. Think very carefully about this and go back a while. Did you hit your hand on something? Even if you did it a week ago, it may have been slowly bringing out something else that was going on already. Or, have you had slight pain for some time now?

If you've had slight pain for awhile, you will want to get started on something immediately. But if the pain is not sever enough for you to want to see a doctor yet, then put yourself on some kind of joint supplement that is proven to work for joint pain relief. You could even start out with a drug store option like glucosamine sulfate. If that doesn't work, you might want to advance to something a little stronger. And, if that doesn't work, you will definitely need to visit a specialist.

Depending on where your pain started, you might start with an arthritis specialist. My pain was in my fingers, so I started with a hand specialist, but when he couldn't find anything that would require surgery; I was referred to the arthritis people to see if I could get some kind of joint pain relief. He did a lot of tests and then, guess what? - sent me home with a prescription for Glucosamine Sulfate and Vitamin D.

I took these two things for about six months before I finally started to see any improvement. I think I could have gotten joint pain relief sooner if I had added a joint pain relief spray to my daily regime. The reason these sprays work better than regular painkiller medicine is that you can apply the spray directly to the area of pain. It practically freezes the pain until you can start to heal - without all the side effects of being constantly tired, etc that you might get from a pain killer like Aleve (aka: Naproxin Sodium).

I also found out that adding an Omega 3 supplement to my diet helped quite a bit. After I did this it seemed like the pain was decreasing at a faster rate, and now I don't have any pain at all.
